Indivisible Southern Delaware Endorses First Slate of Candidates

Today ISD announced its first-ever slate of candidate endorsements, signaling a new phase of its work to build lasting political power across the state.

The inaugural endorsement slate reflects the organization's commitment to electing leaders who will strengthen our fundamental freedoms, protect democratic institutions, and advance opportunity for all Delaware families.

"Since we formed in 2025, ISD has built a network of people who advocate for policies to improve the lives of our community members and against those who seek to degrade it,” said Cheryl Siskin, leader of Indivisible Southern Delaware. "Today, we're taking the next step. ISD volunteers show up at weekly sign waves and rallies, and in between we call and write to legislators, and advocate for change in Dover. Given what’s happening at the Federal level, we need to protect the rights of Delawareans, and the best way to do that is to elect leaders who will champion those rights."

"Across the country, we are witnessing coordinated efforts by MAGA-aligned political forces to weaken democratic norms, roll back long-established rights and protections, and concentrate power in ways that threaten the health of our democracy," said Siskin. "State governments and state constitutions have become the front lines for protecting voting rights, defending civil liberties, protecting our environment, and ensuring that every resident, including every immigrant within our borders, has the opportunity to thrive. This past legislative session and the next one will be critical to ensuring that rights threatened at the Federal level are constitutionally protected here. In Delaware, there will be key votes next year on these very issues, and every legislative seat is crucial.  The decisions made in Dover increasingly shape people's everyday lives."

The organization's endorsement process included candidate questionnaires, research, voting records where applicable, and evaluations of candidates' commitment to ISD’s core issues.

The endorsed candidates are:

  • Alonna Berry, RD 20
  • Claire Snyder-Hall, RD 14
  • Gregg Linder, RD 4
  • Andy Gorlick, RD 36
  • Mo Madden, RD 38

"We are thrilled to announce these candidates who are ready to meet the moment and fight for our futures," said Siskin. “We are especially pleased to endorse two incumbent Representatives from Sussex County, Reps. Alonna Berry (RD 20) and Claire Snyder-Hall (RD 14), whose work and records exemplified leadership, clarity, and commitment this year in Dover.”

ISD plans to support its endorsed candidates through grassroots organizing, volunteer mobilization, and public engagement throughout the election cycle.

“We are building a movement rooted in the belief that progress happens when people organize, participate, and lead,” said Siskin. "These endorsements represent a long-term investment in building a state where democracy endures, rights are protected, and every person has the opportunity to succeed.”

Project 2025 — a sweeping political agenda that critics warn is an assault on our democracy.

Project 2025 targets voting rights, freedom of speech, and the separation of church and state, while advancing an agenda centered on Christian nationalism, extreme social conservatism, reduced government oversight, and policies that benefit wealthy interests at the expense of marginalized communities and vital public welfare programs.

Learn what’s at stake, why it matters, and how these proposed changes could impact our rights, freedoms, and future.
